Multiple administrators often have to work on the same system at the same time. This may be to make unrelated changes or because an impatient user asked multiple people to make the same change.

When administrators work on the same system, they should coordinate their work, to avoid duplication and conflicting changes. This coordination can be hard to arrange without automation.

• Privileged Password Manager can limit the number of people who are shown the same password at the same time. For example, at most one or two people might be allowed to get the same root password at any given time.
• Privileged Password Manager can notify administrators of one another's password disclosure. For example, if administrator 1 discloses password PA, when administrator 2 discloses the same password, Privileged Password Manager can display a note to administrator 2 about the fact that administrator 1 already has PA, and can send an e-mail or SMS to administrator 1 indicating that administrator 2 now also has PA.
